EGGLEFIELD BROTHERS FORD 358 Modifieds

Lance Willix claimed his second victory of the season at the Plattsburgh Airborne Speedway. Willix who started in the 9th position quickly worked his way through the field to join a three-way battle for the lead with Jordan McCreadie and Jessey Mueller. Mueller tailed by Willix moved ahead of the field and the two battled for the lead for several laps.

Lance, however, was running a stronger car down on the lower groove of the track passed Mueller for the lead on lap 15. In the background, Steve Bernier who started 8th was charging hard in the later stage of the race passing Mueller for second on lap 22. Bernier now had his sights in Willix in the 31 car but in the end, could not get passed and had to settle for a sold second place followed Jessey Mueller in 3rd.

POIRER’s TRUE VALUE SPORTSMAN

In the Sportsman Modified division, Connor Cleveland picked up his second win of the season after clawing his way through the heavy field of cars. Starting 16th the young Corinth N.Y. driver worked his way to the front. Once in contact with race leader Bucko Branham, it took Cleveland numerous laps to get around the cagy veteran drive, but on lap 18 he made his move capturing the lead Branham racing on to victory lane.

HARTSON TOTAL OPENING PRO STOCKS

The Pro Stocks once again put on a spectacular race with Jocelyn Roy and C.D Beauchamp racing side by side almost the entire race battling for the lead. The fight for second was just as exciting with Rock Aubin and Marc Lalonde racing it out the entire race with Pascal Payeur, hot on their tail. In the end, Jocelyn Roy would come home with his first win of the season followed by Beauchamp in second and Rock Aubin third.

NOVICE SPORTSMAN

Felix Roy would once again visit victory lane for the second time this season. The young talented Roy took charge of the race quickly and never looked back. This win gives Roy a commanding lead in championship points.
