Le Race for the Cure 150 au menu ce jeudi soir au Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – mardi 20 août, 2019 – Martin Bélanger – Ce sera LE spectacle de l’année ce jeudi soir au Cornwall Motor Speedway avec la présentation du Race for the Cure 150 en plus de la série DIRTcar Sportsman qui sera en action.

Les équipes et les amateurs attendent avec impatience cette 3^e édition du Race for the Cure 150 avec plus de 40 voitures attendues pour la finale de 150 tours. Encore en 2019, plus de 42 000$ en bourse et bonis seront distribués. Le gagnant recevra la somme de 12 000$ alors que tous les pilotes qualifiés pour la finale auront au minimum 500$ pour prendre le vert. Tous les pilotes non qualifiés auront 125$.

Seaway GM offre un boni de 2 000$ afin d’encourager les pilotes locaux, les 3 meilleurs locaux dans la finale se partageront cette somme, afin d’être éligible, ils doivent avoir pris part à toutes les courses cette saison. Un boni de malchance et aussi le pilote ayant gagné le plus de positions sera aussi offert, chaque gagnant de ces bonis, auront un pneu Hoosier.

La liste des pilotes de l’extérieur commence à être impressionnante, l’homme de 100 000$, Mat Williamson sera présent en plus d’Erick Rudolph, Mike Mahaney, Tim Fuller, Steve Bernier, Steve Bernard, Yan Bussiere, Luke Whitteker, Stephane Lafrance, Dimitrios Drellos, Jordan McCreadie, Mathieu Laramée, Mike Stacey, Simon Perreault, Mike Maresca, Martin Pelletier, Gary Lindberg, Alan Therrien, Alex Therrien, Mathieu Desjardins, Lance Willix, Michael Labreche et David Rogers font partie de ceux qui ont confirmés sans compter nos locaux qui incluent les Wheeler, Dingwall, Terrance, Clair, Hebert, Ladouceur, McDonald, Corriveau, Robidoux, Gagne, Hamel, Jackson et compagnie.

En plus du Race for the Cure 150, les Sportsman auront une finale de 50 tours qui comptera pour la série DIRTcar Sportsman, portion nord. Un bon peloton de voitures est attendu, la première ronde de la série avait attiré près de 50 voitures à Airborne en mai dernier. Travis Bruno avait été le vainqueur devant Adam Pierson et Shane Pecore.

Les portes des puits seront ouvertes dès 15h00 afin d’accueillir les pilotes, le coût d’admission sera de 45$. En admission générale, les portes ouvriront dès 17h avec un prix en admission générale de 35$ pour les adultes, 25$ pour l’âge d’or de 65 ans et plus. Les enfants de 16 ans et moins auront accès pour 5$. Les temps chronométrés seront à 18h30 et les épreuves débuteront dès 19h.

Race for the Cure 150 on tap this Thursday evening at Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – Tuesday, August 20, 2019 – Martin Bélanger – It is THE show in 2019 at Cornwall Motor Speedway as the Race for the Cure 150 will be presented this coming Thursday night along with the DIRTcar Sportsman Series. St.Lawrence Radiology and TAS Racing will be the main sponsors of the evening.

Race teams and fans look at the 3^rd edition of the Race for the Cure 150 in anticipation as we expect more than 40 drivers in attendance for the 150-lap event. Again in 2019 with the total purse and all bonuses given, we will exceed the $42,000 mark. The winner’s share will be $12,000 with a minimum of $500 to take the green. All drivers that will not make the feature will get $125.

Seaway GM is providing a $2,000 bonus to the best 3 regular finishers in the feature, to be eligible, the drivers must have taken part in all event scheduled so far at the speedway. The speedway will also offer a hard luck bonus and a hard charger bonus, each recipient will get a free Hoosier Tire.

The invade list is starting to get impressive for Thursday starting with the $100,000 man, Mat Williamson along with d’Erick Rudolph, Mike Mahaney, Tim Fuller, Steve Bernier, Steve Bernard, Yan Bussiere, Luke Whitteker, Stephane Lafrance, Dimitrios Drellos, Jordan McCreadie, Mathieu Laramée, Mike Stacey, Simon Perreault, Mike Maresca, Martin Pelletier, Gary Lindberg, Alan Therrien, Alex Therrien, Mathieu Desjardins, Lance Willix, Michael Labreche and David Rogers that are confirmed. Our local runners that will include the Wheeler, Dingwall, Terrance, Clair, Hebert, Ladouceur, McDonald, Corriveau, Robidoux, Gagne, Hamel, Jackson and company are expected to defend the home turf.

Along with the Race for the Cure 150, the Sportsman will run a 50-lap feature counting towards the DIRTcar Sportsman Northern Series. A solid field of cars is expected, the first round of this series had attracted nearly 50 cars at Airborne in May. Travis Bruno had won the event of Adam Pierson and Shane Pecore.

The pit gates will open at 3pm to welcome the drivers, the admission cost will be $45. In general admission, doors will open at 5pm with a price of $35 for adults, $25 for senior 65 years plus and kids 16 years and under, it will cost $5 to access the grandstands. Time trials are scheduled for 6:30pm and heat races will start at 7pm.
