Moïse Pagé gagne la 2^e manche de la série Race for the Cure au Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – dimanche 21 juillet, 2019 – Martin Bélanger – Les amateurs de Sprint Car étaient servis ce dimanche alors que Green Tech John Deere présentait le Sprint Car Tour en plus d’une finale de 100 tours Sportsman comptant pour la série Race for the Cure.

Dans la finale de 25 tours Patriot Sprint Tour, Steve Poirier aux commandes devant Jordan Thomas et Jared Zimbardi en 3^e. Poirier attrape rapidement les retardataires au 7^e tour avec Mark Smith au 3^e rang. Poirier utilisait son expérience dans la circulation quand la première neutralisation survient au 17^e tour pour Sean Durand qui frappe le mur dans le 4^e tournant. Poirier avait la voiture la plus rapide en piste et mène les derniers tours pour remporter sa première victoire de la saison.

Johnathon Ferguson le meneur dans la finale de 100 tours Race for the Cure Sportsman devant Moise Page et Ryan Stabler. Ferguson arrive rapidement dans la circulation lourde au 10^e tour avec Page et Stabler. Le premier jaune survient au 17^e tour pour Alex Gagnon qui apporte le peloton ensemble. Ferguson a un bon départ lors de la relance avec Page et Brianna Ladouceur en 3^e. Page avait une bonne voiture utilisant la ligne intérieure alors que la circulation était un facteur, Page utilise une voiture retardataire à son avantage et prend les commandes au 35^e tour. La finale avait un bon rythme quand elle est ralentie au 47^e tour. La bataille pour la première reprend de plus belle entre Page et Ferguson avec ce dernier qui prend les devants avec Adam Rozon maintenant au 3^e rang. Le scénario se répète à nouveau entre Page et Ferguson alors qu’une voiture retardataire vient mêler les cartes pour Ferguson; Page reprend les commandes et mène les 25 derniers tours pour remporter sa plus grosse victoire en carrière devant Ferguson et Rozon complète le top 3.

Stephane Lebrun prend les devants dans la finale de 25 tours Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock avec une paire de Dave derrière lui avec Bissonnette et Seguin respectivement. Le jaune sort au 9^e tour pour Richard Courchesne. À la relance, Lebrun avait Bissonnette comme partenaire alors que les 2 pilotes sont côte à côte. Lebrun garde les commandes sur Bissonnette mais ce dernier revient à la charge avec 5 tours à faire et va chercher sa 2^e victoire cette saison sur Marc Lalonde et Lebrun.

Dans la finale de 15 tours Tracy Wheeler Assist2Sell Mini-Stock, Justin Jodoin est le meneur devant Mike Gaucher, Jodoin ralenti durant une neutralisation au 2^e tour et quitte pour les puits offrant la première à Gaucher avec Chris James et le nouveau venu en 3^e place Hayden Brown. Gaucher mène les derniers tours et remporte sa première victoire de la saison.

Les Pro-Stock seront en vedette avec une finale de 50 tours qui amassera des fonds pour le Sisters for a Cure. Un programme complet dans les autres divisions sera présenté.

Moise Page wins the 2^nd round of the Race for the Cure Sportsman Series at Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – Sunday, July 21, 2019 – Martin Bélanger – Sprint Car fans were pleased to see the Patriot Sprint Tour in town along with the 2^nd round of the Race for the Cure Sportsman Series and a full program for Pro-Stock and Mini-Stock.

Johnathon Ferguson to the lead in the 100-lap Race for the Cure Sportsman Series in front of Moise Page and Ryan Stabler. Ferguson got into traffic by lap 10 with Page and Stabler. The first caution lap came on lap 17 for Alex Gagnon bringing the field together. Ferguson got a good jump on Page and Brianna Ladouceur in third. Page had a good car using the inside lane as lap traffic played factor, Page used the slower car and passed Ferguson on lap 35. The feature had a great momentum when caution came on lap 47. The battle for lead continued on the following restart as Ferguson regained the lead over Page as Adam Rozon started to make some noise taking third. As the feature got into a good momentum, Page made the inside lane work and regained the lead on Ferguson with 25 laps to go. Page went on to lead the final portion to get his biggest feature win with Ferguson and Rozon completing the top 3.

In the 25-lap Patriot Sprint Tour, Steve Poirier jumped to the lead with Jordan Thomas in second and Jared Zimbardi in third. Poirier quickly got to lap traffic by lap 7 as Mark Smith moved to third. Poirier maneuvered well in traffic as the first caution came on lap 17 for Sean Durand who hit the wall in turn 4. Poirier had the quickest car and led the final portion of the event of Thomas and Smith.

Stephane Lebrun took the lead in the 25-lap Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock as a pair of Dave’s took second and third spot with Bissonnette and Seguin respectively. Yellow is out for Richard Courchesne on lap 9. On the restart, Lebrun had Bissonnette as a dancing partner with both running side by side. Lebrun kept the lead but Bissonnette charged back with 5 to go and grabbed the lead for good to win his second feature of the season over Marc Lalonde and Lebrun

In the 15-lap Assist2Sell Mini-Stock, Justin Jodoin jumped to the lead in front of Mike Gaucher but slowed down on a lap 2 caution and headed to the pits giving the lead to Gaucher. A lot of movement behind Gaucher with Chris James and newcomer Hayden Brown in battle for the runner up position. Gaucher led the final laps and won his first feature of the season.

The Pro-Stock will have a special race next week with the Sisters for a Cure 50, a 50-lap fundraiser race along with a full program!
