Luke Whitteker gagnant de la finale Canadian Nationals au Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – dimanche 23 juin, 2019 – Martin Bélanger – On présentait un des gros programmes de la saison ce soir dans le cadre des célébrations de notre 50^e anniversaire, les Modifiés avaient leur 2^e manche dans la série Fat Les Chip Stand Canadian Nationals avec 50 tours et $5,000 au vainqueur, les Sportsman avaient une finale de 50 tours avec $1,000 au gagnant, la série Pro-Stock Farnham Ale Lager était aussi de la partie avec 50 tours ainsi que la série Weekend Warriors et Dany Lefebvre Memorial en Mini-Stock avec 25 tours en cette soirée commanditée par Rutters Elevators!

Dans la finale de 50 tours Canadian Nationals Fat Les Chip Stand, Jordan McCreadie aux commandes devant Michael Maresca et Steve Bernard. McCreadie avait de la compagnie en Luke Whitteker au 5^e tour. McCreadie mène le peloton alors que la finale prend du momentum avec Bernard bien en selle au 3^e rang. À la mi-course, McCreadie mène le bal devant Whitteker et Bernard qui sont très près du meneur. Une neutralisation au 38^e tour vient ralentir la cadence et McCreadie a des ennuis, il donne sa 2^e à Bernard et Fuller maintenant au 3^e rang. Une fin de finale excitante alors que Bernard tente le tout pour le tout dans les derniers instants de la finale mais Whitteker en sort vainqueur devant Bernard et Fuller.

Dans la finale Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman, Brianna Ladouceur aux commandes devant Jason Shipclark et Devin Willis. Ladouceur mène le bal avec Shane Pecore qui remonte le peloton de sa 5^e place, il parvient à prendre la 2^e place au 12^e tour. Pecore rejoint Ladouceur au premier alors que les meneurs sont dans la circulation lourde au 23^e tour avec Ricky Thompson au 3^e rang. Pecore se construit une bonne avance avec Adam Rozon qui dépasse Thompson pour la 3^e position. Pecore mène les derniers instants pour sa 5^e victoire de suite devant Ladouceur et Rozon.

Beaucoup d’action dans la finale de 25 tours Weekend Warriors et Danny Lefebvre Memorial alors que Jeremie Goyette qui mène la première portion avec Alexis Charbonneau qui le dépasse au 10^e tour avec Justin Jodoin au 3^e rang. Charbonneau rejoint le traffic avec 8 tours à faire et Goyette qui suit de près. Une relance au 22^e tour apporte le peloton ensemble. Goyette réussi à surprendre Charbonneau dans le dernier tour et vient remporter une première victoire cette saison.

Après une série de mauvais départ, Yves Hamel prend les devants dans la finale de 50 tours Farnham Ale and Lager. Hamel avait comme partenaire de danse Bruno Cyr alors que les 2 pilotes ont roulé côte à côte pendant plusieurs tours s’échangeant les commandes à quelques reprises alors que CD Beauchamp avait remonté le peloton jusqu’en 3^e position par la mi-course. Beauchamp avait une voiture très rapide et dépasse Hamel pour les commandes alors que Marc Lalonde vient au 3^e rang avec 15 tours à effectuer. Lalonde dépasse Hamel de l’extérieur pour la 2^e place. CD Beauchamp mène les derniers tours et remporte la victoire sa première à Cornwall devant Lalonde et Hamel.

Un des plus gros évènements de la saison aura lieu dimanche prochain alors que les Gros-Blocs sont en ville! La série Gros-Bloc Super DIRTcar sera présente avec toutes ces vedettes pour une finale de 100 tours payant 7 500$ au vainqueur!

Luke Whitteker wins the Canadian Nationals Series at Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – Sunday, June 23, 2019 – Martin Bélanger –It was one of our biggest shows of the year part of our 50^th anniversary celebrations with a 50-lap Modified feature counting for the Fat Les Chip Stand Canadian Nationals, the Sportsman ran a 50-lap feature paying the Farnham Ale Lager Pro-Stock Series was in town for 50 laps and the Dany Lefebvre Memorial for Mini-Stock with a 25-lap on Rutter Elevators Night.

In the 50-lap Canadian Nationals Series, Jordan McCreadie quickly moved to the lead with Michael Maresca and Steve Bernard. McCreadie had company in Luke Whitteker by lap 5 as he moved to second. McCreadie led the field as the feature picked up some momentum with Bernard still strong in third. At the halfway point, McCreadie lead the way with Whitteker on his backbumper and Bernard in their tracks as well. Whitteker found something on the outside and took the lead on lap 27. A lap 38 caution brought the field together, McCreadie had issues with his car and lost his second spot. Whitteker to the lead with Bernard and Tim Fuller running in third. An exciting finish has Bernard made several attempts but Whitteker never looked back and got the win over Bernard and Fuller.

In the Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman feature, Brianna Ladouceur moved up to the lead over Jason Shipclark and Devin Willis. Ladouceur led the way as Shane Pecore started to make some moves and took second by lap 12. Pecore set sights on Ladouceur as Pecore took the lead between lapped cars on lap 23 and pulled away from the lead as Ricky Thomson having a strong run in third. Pecore building a good lead as Adam Rozon passed Thomson for third. Pecore led the final laps to win his fifth feature in a row over Ladouceur and Rozon.

After a few false start, Yves Hamel took the lead in the 50-lap Farnham Ale and Lager Pro-Stock Series. Hamel had Bruno Cyr as dancing partner as both drivers ran side by side for several laps. Hamel remained in first as Bruno Cyr found something on the top side by lap 20 and both drivers ran side by side for the lead as CD Beauchamp made some strides and moved to third by halfway point. Beauchamp had a strong ride and took the lead over Hamel and pulled away from the field as Marc Lalonde moved to third with 15 laps to go. Lalonde used the outside lane to pass Hamel for second. CD Beauchamp led the final laps to get his first win of the season at Cornwall over Lalonde and Hamel.

A lot of action in the 25-lap Weekend Warriors Dany Lefebvre Memorial feature as Jeremie Goyette led the way in the first portion of the feature until Alexis Charbonneau took the lead on lap 10 over Goyette as Justin Jodoin was running in third. Charbonneau got into lap traffic with 8 laps to go as Goyette followed closely. A lap 22 caution brought the field together as Charbonneau led the way over Jeremie Goyette as both drivers ran side by side and Goyette passed Charbonneau to the wire.

The big blocks are in town next week! The Super DIRTcar Series will make his annual stop with a 100-lap event with the winner getting $7,500! Come and see the biggest stars from the series compete against our local talent.
