Kyle Dingwall se tape la victoire !

Dingwall, Pecore, Lalonde, Poirier et Dagenais, remportent la victoire au Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – dimanche 16 juin, 2019 – Martin Bélanger – Un excellent programme de course présenté par Pioneer Hi-Bred au Cornwall Motor Speedway avec la présence des Lightning Sprints et un programme complet.

La finale Loud and Dirty a vu Corey Wheeler prendre les devants dans la finale de 30 tours devant Kyle Dingwall et Brian McDonald. Wheeler demeure premier alors que plusieurs neutralisations brisent le rythme dans les 7 premiers tours. Lors d’une relance au 7e tour, Wheeler se fait surprendre par Dingwall pour la première position, la course demeure au vert pendant 10 tours quand Lee Ladouceur ralenti la cadence au 17e tour. Lors de la relance, Dingwall et Wheeler se font la bataille pour la première avec McDonald en 3e. Dingwall mène les derniers tours pour remporter sa première victoire de la saison devant Wheeler et McDonald qui complète le podium.

Dans la finale de 25 tours Sportsman Next Level Home Improvement, Justin Lalancette est aux commandes de l’épreuve devant Ryan Stabler et Shane Pecore, Lalancette mène les 6 premiers tours avec Stabler qui devient le meneur au tour suivant avec Kurtis Cayer avec les meneurs. Stabler avait de la compagnie en Pecore et Brianna Ladouceur qui s’est jointe au groupe des meneurs dans les derniers instants. Les 3 derniers tours de la finale étaient excitants avec Pecore qui dépasse Stabler et vient ainsi remporter sa 4e victoire de suite.

Dave Seguin le meneur dans la finale de 20 tours Pro-Stock Alexandria Home Hardware devant Mike Blais et Rock Aubin. Kevin Fetterly apporter quelques neutralisations au 7e tour. Seguin avait de la compagnie en Aubin lors d’une relance au 11e tour, Aubin utilise l’intérieur pour dépasser Séguin. Marc Lalonde avait une excellente voiture et prend la 2e et s’attaque au meneur, Aubin a des ennuis et Lalonde est le nouveau meneur avec 5 tours à faire. Lalonde prend une avance confortable et remporte sa première victoire cette saison.

Francis Laliberté était le meneur dans la série Lightning Sprint avec Jordan Poirier et Mathieu Bardier derrière lui. Les meneurs arrivent dans la circulation au 10e tour et Poirier prend les devants avec Bardier au 2e rang, Bardier effectue une manœuvre pour prendre les commandes vers la mi-course. Le drapeau jaune sort au 15e tour pour Terry Ladouceur. À la relance, Bardier est toujours le meneur mais a des ennuis avec sa voiture et doit laisser la première à Poirier. Ce dernier mène les derniers tours pour remporter sa 2e victoire consécutive à Cornwall.

La finale Mini-Stock Assist2Sell a vu JC Bouchard prendre les commandes dans les premiers instants devant Alexis Charbonneau et Marc Dagenais. Bouchard avait de la compagnie en Dagenais qui le dépasse de l’intérieur au 5e tour. Le jaune sort au 8e tour sur la relance, Marc Dagenais demeure premier avec Justin Jodoin en 3e. Dagenais mène les derniers tours pour remporter la victoire sa première de la saison.

Un des gros programmes de la saison dimanche prochain alors que l’on célèbrera notre 50e anniversaire de belle façon, les Modifiés auront leur 2e manche dans la série Fat Les Chip Stand Canadian Nationals avec 50 tours et $5,000 au vainqueur, les Sportsman auront une finale de 50 tours avec $1,000 au gagnant, la série Pro-Stock Farnham Ale Lager sera aussi de la partie avec 50 tours ainsi que la série Weekend Warriors et Dany Lefebvre Memorial en Mini-Stock avec 25 tours

Dingwall, Pecore, Lalonde, Poirier and Dagenais, winners at Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – Sunday, June 16, 2019 – Martin Bélanger – It was a great night of racing on Pioneer Hi-Bred night at Cornwall Motor Speedway as the Lightning Sprints were in town for their second visit with a full program in all other divisions.

The Loud and Dirty Modified saw Corey Wheeler jumping to the lead in the 30-lap feature event with Kyle Dingwall and Brian McDonald. Wheeler remained in first on lap 3 restart. Wheeler survived to few restarts in the first 7 laps but got passed on these conditions by Dingwall. Yellow was out on lap 17 for Lee Ladouceur. On the restart, Dingwall got challenged by Wheeler but stayed in first with McDonald in third. Dingwall led the final portion of the feature to capture win #1 on the season over Wheeler and McDonald completing the podium.

In the Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman feature, Justin Lalancette moved to the lead over Ryan Stabler and Shane Pecore, Lalancette led the first 6 laps as Stabler had a strong ride was able to pass Lalancette for the lead on the following lap and pulled away from the pack as Kurtis Cayer was in third. Stabler had company with Pecore and Brianna Ladouceur making her way to the front in the final moments of the feature. The final 3 laps were exciting as Pecore was able to move under Stabler for the lead and went on to get his fourth win in a row.

Dave Seguin to the lead in the 20-lap Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock feature with Mike Blais and Rock Aubin following closely. Kevin Fetterly brought caution on lap 7. Seguin had company in Aubin on a lap 11 restart, Aubin used the inside lane to pass Seguin. Marc Lalonde had a strong car and moved up to second and challenged Aubin for the lead, Aubin had some issues and Lalonde was the new leader with 5 laps to go. Lalonde pulled away with Dave Bissonnette moving to second. Lalonde led the final laps to win his first feature of the season.

Francis Laliberté was the early lead in the Lightning Sprints with Jordan Poirier and Mathieu Bardier behind him. The leaders got into lap traffic by lap 10 and Poirier took the lead with Bardier moving up to second, Bardier made a bold move and took the lead at halfway point. Caution was out on lap 15 for Terry Ladouceur. On the restart, Bardier led the way but had issues with his ride and had to let go the lead to Poirier. Pascal Levesque found something on the final laps and took second, but Poirier was strong and kept the lead to win his second feature.

The Assist2Sell Mini-Stock Feature saw JC Bouchard to the early lead over Alexis Charbonneau and Marc Dagenais. Bouchard had company in the lead as Dagenais pulled on the inside and took the lead over Bouchard on lap 5. Yellow was out on lap 8 on the restart, Marc Dagenais stayed first with Justin Jodoin joining the mix in third. Dagenais led the final laps to win his first feature of the season.

Next week is one of our biggest shows of the year as we will celebrate our 50th anniversary with a 50-lap Modified feature counting for the Fat Les Chip Stand Canadian Nationals and paying $5,000 to the winner, the Sportsman will run a 50-lap feature paying $1,000 to win, the Farnham Ale Lager Pro-Stock Series will be in town for 50 laps and the Dany Lefebvre Memorial for Mini-Stock with a 25-lap.
