Chris Raabe was the big winner at the Airborne Park Speedway in the Egglefield Ford 358-Modified feature race. This is second win in as many nights for the young driver who has rebounded from a two-week slump.
Charging from his fourth place starting position, Raabe wasted no time in taking the lead on lap ten from George Foley in the number 63. Once past Foley, Chris opened up a sizable lead, cruising home to take the checkered flag. Steve Bernier finished second, followed closely by George Foley.
In the inaugural 358 Modified dash for cash with 500 to win the 5-lap sprint. Travis Bruno started from the pole and raced the 5 laps unchallenged to take home the prize.

In the Sportsman division, Nick Heywood drove an outstanding race starting in the 18th position. Heywood worked his way through the field to make a last minute pass with just a few laps remaining to take home the win in the Poirier’s True Value Sportsman Modified feature.

Shawn Walker raced his way to victory lane in the Strictly Stock division, while Cam Gadue came home the winner in the mini-mod division.

In the Ernie’s Discount Tools Super Stock division Tylor Terry came home the winner once again.

Airborne Park Speedway also hosted Team Plante for the first time. The Team from Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, decided to take the short drive down to the 65-year track to challenge the track regulars for the first time. Maxime and his sister Josianne Plante brought both their 358 Modified cars and were quite pleased about their first experience at Airborne.

“The track was good and I managed to pick up a fifth-place finish in spite of having to come into the pits to change a tire,” Max explained. “It was a good race overall and we were quite happy with the outcome.”
