Robert Bernard, the Family-run Business of the Bernard Racing Team, Switching Gears to Help Local Foundations La version française ici With the 2018 season winding down, the family-run business of the 54 Bernard race team is switching gears. Steve Bernard along with his father Jocelyn and their team are coming off a great season of racing with the number 54 car coming home with 8 wins, 26 top five and 32 top 10’s along with the track championship at Le RPM Speedway. Their family-run business has also done well over this past year, so with all of their success this season, the Bernard family is reaching out to help within their local communities. In cooperation with Bridgestone Canada the family-run business of the 54 Bernard race team decided to contribute to the local snowsuit drive, which is currently underway in several local communities. The family-run business purchased 767-snow suits, which will to be distrusted to several foundations: "Je pars du bon pied" in Granby, "J'Habille un Ami" in St-Hyacinthe and Foundation Christian Vachon in Sherbrooke. “We try to help kids in real need so they can be warm for winter to go to school and play outside,” explained Jocelyn. These different foundations take care of children in need and are a vital part of each community. The family and the Robert Bernard company team thought this would be a good way to help these organizations. Over the years, the family has reached out to help organizations with different requests but once the family and the Robert Bernard Compagny heard about the snowsuit drive and how much it can help children keep warm during the winter, he was on board. This is the first year the Robert Bernard team has participated in this great cause. “There are plans, if things go well this year, to expand with a funds drive which could provide even more help to this great cause,” explained Jocelyn.
