Bernier wins at Airborne Speedway

Chroniques Don Simpson
Bernier wins at Airborne Speedway La version française ici Steve Bernier brings home his fifth win of the season at Airborne Park Speedway. The St. Hyacinth, QC native arrived at the track late as he and the team had to change the motor in the car prior to the night’s race., which had been damaged the night before at Autodrome Granby. Hot lap provided Steve with a chance to shake down the car, and it was clear there had to be some adjustments. In the heat race, Bernier was fast but could not get by Chris Raabe who eventually won the race, showing that further adjustment was needed. During the race the engine was damaged so we spent all the time replacing the motor and could not put the adjustment need to run Airborne. We have a good idea on what is needed for the set-up of the car tonight and will be good to go in the feature race, Steve went on to explain. Bernier started mid-pack in the feature race, but by lap fifteen he had taken the lead. Other than a late race caution, which bunched up the field for one last chase to the chequered flag, Bernier dominated the race easily coming home with the win.
