358 DIRTcar Modifieds series is set to invade Weedsport Speedway

Steve Bernard, the current Mr. DIRTcar points’ leader as of the September 28, will fight off the top challengers looking to take over that position. One of those aiming to take command of the championship is last year’s winner Chris Raabe in the 01 car who is only 27 points behind the talented driver from Quebec and is sure to give Bernard a run for the points lead.

Rounding of the top five are three more Quebec drivers starting with Mathieu Desjardin, Mario Clair followed by Steve Bernier, all of which have the drive and car to win. This being the second of the satellite races during Super Dirt week could set the stage for the commanding lead in the 358 Mr. DIRT series.

But the 358 Modifieds won’t be the only show on hand. Not to be outdone, the DIRTcar Sportsman series will also be on hand. Last year, over 50 cars attempted to qualify for this event, won in a nail biter finish by Todd Root over Kevin Root and Shane Pecore.
This year, the Sportsman teams come to Weedsport looking to chase down current series points lead Rocky Warner. Two of those drivers in the chase are locals, Jessica Power of Kingston, Ontario, and Brianna Ladouceur of Cornwall, Ontario.
