October 5, 2017, will be a date to keep in mind if you are passionate about Dirt track racing, The best of the best 358 Modified drivers will be congregating to battle it out at Brewerton Speedway for the coveted “Hurricane 100” prize. Last year saw close to fifty cars trying to qualify for this key event, part of the NAPA Super DIRT Week.
In the past 24 years, some of the biggest names in modified racing have visited victory lane at the “Hurricane 100,” and this year’s 25th annual race is shaping up to be better than ever.

Local drivers Mario Clair, Chris Raabe, David Hébert and Steve Bernard are just a few of the Canadians set to challenge the likes of Matt Sheppard Jimmy Phelps, Larry Wight and, last year’s winner, Billy Decker to win the 25th Hurricane 100.

Also on hand that night will be the DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series, with some of the best Sportsman drivers from Canada and the Untied States, battling it out on the 1/3 mile, d-shaped oval.

Last year, fifty cars entered this highly touted race, which saw one of the closes finishes in the history of the event, with Brad Rouse of St. Catharines, Ontario coming out on top, winning by just a 0.614-second margin over Rocky Warner.
This year will celebrate 25 years of this great event and it is sure to be one of the best races of the season.
