Martin Pelletier is looking for a good showing at Super DIRT Week

Chroniques Steve Brillant
Nicknamed “The Invader” by his Ontarians peers, Martin Pelletier, has made a name for himself in the Sportsman division with his clean & smooth driving style. The driver out of Sorel, QC has proved that his 2012 performances were no fluke. A season in which he performed really well outside of his home turf of Quebec, which four 2nd place finishes in the DIRTcar Series. In 2013, he kept getting some decent results, but unfortunately bad lucks and wrecks played a big part in the season. This year was even better for him as he picked up 2 DIRTcar Series events, at Cornwall and Granby. At 31 years old, Pelletier will be competing at Super DIRT Week in both the Sportsman DIRTcar events of the week for the third time. He will be at Weedsport on Wednesday and will conclude his week on the Mile with the 30-lap Sportsman feature on Saturday October 11th. The objective for the week: Get to the finish line and bring the car back in one piece. “I do believe we have a good package for the Mile, we did finish 8th in 2012 so we’re pretty confident we can get another Top-10 this year. I will once again have my Bicknell for the Mile, and I’ll use my HigFab car at Weedsport.” Pelletier is one of those meticulous drivers that pays attention to every detail; his notebooks are full of ideas and information he was able to gather all every track he’s been to. Although, Martin is conscious that each night is different, due to the ever changing conditions of a dirt track surface. Because of that, you have to be able to adapt to each situation. Let’s not forget that Martin comes from an ATV and Snowmobile background and that his presence at Syracuse is in large part due to Dominic Dufault and Yves Leveille, both of them played a huge part in Martin’s career and his constant progression. A true Quebecer that will proudly represent us in the 43rd edition of Super DIRT Week
