Many fans are gearing up for the annual visit of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at Rolling-Wheels Raceway on Saturday, October 11 along with the ‘’Win and You’re In’’ feature for Big-Block Modifieds with a 25-lap event with the winner getting a spot in the Syracuse 200 for the big event on Sunday at Syracuse.
Race fans will be able to see the World of Outlaws on New-York soil for the last time in 2014 and witness the great season that Donny Schatz is having with 22 wins and over 270 points over defending series champion Daryn Pittman. Schatz had won the event last year over Paul McMahan and Craig Dollansky, he led the entire race as he will be the favourite as the Sprint Car stars will enter Rolling Wheels. Hopefully the speedway will be tacky as we will see average speeds of over 220 km/h around the 5/8 Mile track. The ‘’Salute to the King’’ will also happen with Steve Kinser making a final appearance on New-York grounds.
A mixed group of competitors will run the ‘’Win and You’re In’’ Big-Block feature. A 25-lap feature race is on the schedule with the winner receiving the 44th and final spot for the Syracuse 200 held on the Sunday afternoon at the NY State Fairgrounds. Chad Brachmann had won the event.
The Rolling-Wheels Raceway is one of the nicest facilities in the Northeast and with the visit of the World of Outlaws Sprints during Super DIRT Week; it brings extra coverage to the biggest party on DIRT! The first race is schedule for 7:30pm; it will be a tight run for fans that will drive from the Fairgrounds to Elbridge with the Salute to the Troops 150 being run a little later than in the afternoon.
After a great day at Syracuse, a great evening is expected at Rolling Wheels!
