Chroniques Martin Bélanger
Last season, Brad Rouse won the event and in the same times the DIRTcar Sportsman championship. He is still in contention this year with a few points behind Mathieu Desjardins. Rocky Warner: Will be to watch again this season, one of the bravest drivers at Syracuse in the last season. Mathieu Desjardins: Would like to win in his third and final attempt, he is the leader in the series before the Weedsport event with only 5 points ahead of Rouse. Shane Pecore: His 25th spot last year was disappointing, he is part of the elite in Sportsman. Currently running in third spot in the DIRTcar championship behind Desjardins and Rouse. Joey Ladouceur: His season didn’t start the way he wanted, Ladouceur will want to have a good run on the Mile, finishing 10th last year, the Alexandria, Ontario driver is part of the favourites. Corey Wheeler: Has a stellar year with championships at Mohawk and Cornwall, he finished in the top 10 in his two Sportsman races at Syracuse. Brad Rouse: Again in the hunt for a second DIRTcar championship, Rouse will try and repeat 2013 and win the 30-lap event. Martin Pelletier: Just like Rouse, he is in the lead pack in the DIRTcar Series, he was had the best Quebec finish with a 12th spot in 2013. Mike Maresca: Currently fifth in the title race, he will want to have a good run in this event. Cody McPherson: He won the DIRTcar championship in 2012, a win at Syracuse would be a great addition to his resume. Louie JacksonJr: The young man won his first event this summer; he had good results over the last few months. The Sportsman feature is always fun to watch with new players every year than can mix the cards, several veterans will be part of the race.
