The STR “French Connection” will invade Five Mile Point this weekend
A great field of 6 STR drivers, out of Quebec, will make the trip down to Five Mile Point Speedway for the American Racer Cup on Saturday October 11th.
This will be the 9th race of the STR National Series which will then lead to the season finale at Grandview on November 1st and 2nd. The National Series consisted of 10 races that were split in two with 5 races in Canada and 5 in the US.
The man in charge of STRs in Quebec, Carl Labonte, will strap behind the wheel this weekend and to accompany him, two young drivers that will be making their first appearance at Five Mile; Patrick Rheaume and Francis Methot. Announcer Dominic Beauchesne will put his microphone aside to also join them on the racetrack.
358-Modified driver, Sebastien Gougeon, has some experience behind the wheel of a STR machine, and he will also make the trip to face off against other notable Modified stars such as Frank Cozze, Kenny Brightbill, Billy Pauch Sr & Jr, Jeff Strunk and Richie Tobias, just to name a few.
2012 champion, Maxime Plante, will be another guy to keep an eye on as he won this event 2 years ago, in 2012.
A feature that is sure to be quite exciting as the winner will walk away with 3 000$ in his pockets
I know for a fact that some fans will want to make the trip down to Five Mile Point as it’s only about 45 minutes away from the Fairgrounds.
360Nitro will be in the heart of the action once again and we will keep you posted on our Quebec drivers performance.
