Sallows Begins Preparation For Their First Ever Trip to Super DIRT Week

Dillon Sallows has had a great season in the Sportsman division this season, posting his first win of his career back in late July at Cornwall, and battling all season long for a top five finish in the point standings at both Mohawk Raceway and Cornwall Speedway. His efforts this season have not gone unnoticed by fellow competitors and sponsors, and his breakthrough season will end with a trip to Super DIRT Week and the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse.



“It has been a dream since we started racing to be able to participate at Syracuse”, says Sallows. “The entire week is just so exciting and we can’t wait to be a part of it this year”.



Sallows Super DIRT Week will begin on Friday, October 7th as they hit the track early for practice for the DIRTcar futures race, which is open to all first time Syracuse participants in their respective divisions. Sallows will run the futures race on Friday afternoon, and then get ready for Saturday afternoon and the 30 lap Sportsman championship race at the mile.



The car is currently being set up for the fast Syracuse track with a new body, and will be sent off to Atomic Sign Works in Watertown, New York to be lettered and wrapped in C&B Enterprises colors.



“It is going to be really exciting to race at Syracuse, and I have to thank all our sponsors and everyone that has supported us and helped us make this happen”, he adds.



After Syracuse, Sallows hopes to finish out the season at Brockville on Sunday, October 16th in the final race of the Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman Series. The team will then start looking at plans for next season.



Sallows, who operates his race team with his parents, Dallas and Kim Sallows races under the banner on DKD Racing, the initials of each family member.
