Each week it seems like the same old story for Jarrett Herbison. The 11 year old Mallorytown, Ontario racer travels to Cornwall on Tuesday nights and to the local Brockville Speedway Kart track on Wednesday evenings this year. Herbison has posted some great results at Cornwall, and is in a battle for the championship in the Jr. Sportsman 2 division at the track. Brockville, on the other hand has been a struggle. Most of the season has been lost due to rain, and when they do finally get a race in, Herbison has struggled, or been a victim of bad luck.
At Cornwall on Tuesday, Herbison finished second in his qualifying heat race, and won the 15 lap main event for his class. With just two points races remaining, Herbison is currently second place in points, only four points out of the lead.
Brockville has been a different story for Herbison, who has struggled to find consistency at the track. They haven’t been able to get in back to back events, as weather has played havoc throughout the season, and when they do race, Herbison hasn’t had much luck, being in the wrong place at the wrong time on some occasions, and just plain bad luck.
“We have struggled at Brockville this year, but I am confident we will still get a win before the year is over. We have two more races left”, says Herbsion.
This coming week, Herbison will be back at Cornwall Kart track on Tuesday night and then back to Brockville on Wednesday.
